For this McKenzie County Homesteading Network gathering, we will continue our discussion on soil health principles and hear from a panel of area residents who are utilizing a variety of methods in growing their produce. Scheduled to present include
-Randy Kindel who is growing orange, lime, olive trees and more in Arnegard. Randy constructed a "Greenhouse in the Snow" kit a few years ago and now grows year-round utilizing geothermal heat, heat from the sun and minimal supplemental heat.
-Lisa Vagle from the Alexander area who utilizes deep mulch to build soil health and conserve moisture for her vegetable garden
-Corey Meuchel from Meadlowlark Acres who utilizes fertigation and plasticulture for the acres of vegetables he grows for his family and the surrounding community.
